Key Challenges

Vodacom (Tz & Mbque) aimed to develop traffic insights on their IN & Charging platform, focusing on the last X days trending on the dashboard for both systems and traffic. This included comparing cyclical traffic data and day-of-the-week patterns, as well as using a 7-day moving average to identify true traffic increases for planning. They sought flexible duration options to increase granularity, correlated CPU utilization of network elements with performance to identify non-traffic impacts and applied predictive analysis using machine learning algorithms and anomaly detection.

Key Outcomes

Enhanced analytics and deep visibility on their charging platform allowed Vodacom Opco’s to manage their voice and SMS better Predict bottlenecks, traffic overload and platform performance issues. The solution overall has helped Vodacom Opco’s to improve their quality of service and thereby enhanced retention.
